Located in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, the Beachcomber's Cottage is surrounded by tall whispering pines. A short, cobblestone path leads you to the private Lake Superior beach. For your summer vacation, it's just the spot to lounge in your beach chair, take an invigorating swim, or stroll down the beach collecting rocks and driftwood. And it's perfect for an autumn getaway, where the fall colors are vibrant and spectacular, the air crisp and clear.

You'll enjoy staying in the two bedroom cottage with knotty pine interior, hardwood floors throughout, and attached deck for relaxing. Rustic, yet comfortable, it's complete with modern conveniences. Located on scenic Highway M-28 you're close to the dining, shopping, and entertainment of Marquette, but far enough away to appreciate the privacy and quiet of the North Woods.

Along with sunning and swimming, you'll find activities such as hiking and biking, or golfing at the nearby 18 hole Chocolay Downs golf course. To the west, the Marquette area has a wide variety of summer art, music and cultural festivals, including the famous Art on the Rocks. Visit the Maritime Museum filled with lore of Lake Superior, or browse in the many boutiques and antique shops. At Presque Isle Park you'll find picturesque breakwaters, picnic sites, an ampitheater, and walking trails with deer wandering freely through the woods. |
Just 26 miles east of the cottage is the wild and beautiful Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located at Munising. The cliffs rise 200 feet and stretch 15 miles, luring hikers, kayakers, and divers, as well as day visitors to explore the beauty of the shoreline.

Cottage Highlights

Reservations
- The cottage rents by the week or longer, usually Saturday to Saturday, and is available from late May into October.
- Confirmation is subject to availability at the time of your request.
- Prepayment is required to guarantee your reservation.
- Refund will be made if a minimum 30 day cancellation notice is given.
Rates
- $750 per week
- Fall discounts in September and October with weekly or partial week stays (four night minimum) and flexible check-in available
